In every case possible, our Data Processing workflows center around our ability to convert documents into electronic images and extract data from them.
In this scenario, all documents are scanned according to specifications necessary for optimum image conversion and data retrieval. Subsequent to scanning, the images and extracted data are processed and verified; often the most time consuming phase of the project. The time required to complete the data-verification process depends upon the nature of the application and our ability to automatically extract data from documents via Optical Character Recognition (OCR), bar codes, or a client's existing database. Generally, we have seen an average 90% average reduction in the number of keystrokes needed to process one of our forms.

Following the Data processing stages of our Forms Processing Model, our experienced staff of programmers can convert the extracted raw data into whatever format you wish. We create compatible input for all popular Database formats and are fully capable of designing any data structure you require; ASCII, HTML, XML, Progress, MS Access, MS Excel, PIC, SQL, and many more.
Another added Berkheimer Advantage is the retained image of the original form. No longer do you have to worry about physical record storage and retention. Images of the documents can be retained in an electronic document management system and are available for instant recall from your computer desktop. Many of our clients opt for us to store their documents in our on-line document storage system. They enjoy the ability to login and retrieve their documents from anywhere in the world, without the hassle of internal tech support.
If you would prefer to house the data on your PC or network instead, we have the capability to transfer data into any format, including CD-ROM, DVD, Optical Disk, FTP, and E-mail. Our Technical Service Department will be happy to deliver the finished product in the format that suits your needs.
